Sautéed Napa Cabbage
Yields 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 medium Napa cabbage
- 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
- 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. hoisin sauce
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
- 1/2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
Instructions
- Rinse cabbage under cool water. Remove outer leaves and slice into 1-inch-wide thick strips.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes, stir and cook for 60 seconds.
- Next, add the Napa cabbage, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, paprika, sugar, and vinegar. Mix to combine and sauté for 7-8 minutes or until cabbage softens.
- Mix in green onion and cook an additional 1 minute.
- Transfer mixture to a serving dish and then drizzle with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and more green onions if desired.
