Avocado Patties

Yields 4 servings


  • 1 avocado, ripe, peeled, and pitted
  • 1 bunch of green onions, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. cilantro, minced
  • 1 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 2 Tbsp. flour of choice
  • 1 small egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Avocado oil


  1. Place the avocado flesh in a medium bowl and mash with a fork. Add all of the remaining ingredients except the avocado oil, and mix.
  2. Warm a skillet over medium heat, adding a small amount of avocado oil.
  3. Once skillet is hot, add a heaping tablespoon of batter. Fry patty on both sides until golden brown. If your batter is too runny, add some additional flour to thicken. Serve hot as a side dish.
