Orange-Carrot Turmeric Ginger Shots

Yields 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 medium carrots, peeled, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice, fresh
  • 1/2 cup coconut water, unsweetened
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp. fresh turmeric, minced or 1/2 tsp. turmeric, ground
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper, ground

Instructions

  1. Using a high speed blender, combine all of the ingredients together and process until smooth, 1-2 minutes.
  2. Divide into 4, 6 oz. bottles. Cover and refrigerate, then chill for at least 15 minutes prior to serving.
  3. If you are having trouble creating a smooth mixture, use a strainer lined with cheesecloth and drain to remove solid pieces.

Nutrition per serving: 70 calories, 17 g carbohydrates, 2 g fiber, 1 g protein, 40 mg sodium, 11 g sugar.
