Sautéed Napa Cabbage

Yields 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 medium Napa cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp. sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Rinse cabbage under cool water. Remove outer leaves and slice into 1-inch-wide thick strips.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes, stir and cook for 60 seconds.
  3. Next, add the Napa cabbage, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, paprika, sugar, and vinegar. Mix to combine and sauté for 7-8 minutes or until cabbage softens.
  4. Mix in green onion and cook an additional 1 minute.
  5. Transfer mixture to a serving dish and then drizzle with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and more green onions if desired.
