The Allergic Fingerprint: Treating Your Unique Allergies

Just as everyone has a unique fingerprint, everyone has a unique “allergic fingerprint” made up of all the factors – or total load – that together can trigger an allergic reaction. You have unique allergies. We believe your treatment should be too.

Just as everyone has a unique fingerprint, everyone has a unique “allergic fingerprint” made up of a variety of factors – or total load – that together can trigger an allergic reaction.

Using the La Crosse Method, we start with making a diagnosis that includes a thorough exam, history, and employs various testing tools that tell us what you’re allergic to and how allergic you are to it.

Based on this detailed information, we develop your treatment based on your specific level of sensitivity to the precise items that cause your reactions. Your allergy drop treatment is customized exactly to your needs — an optimal dose – that provides enough antigen to help you build tolerance, but not so much as to cause unnecessary reactions. As your tolerance increases, we increase the level of antigens until you’re able to maintain long-term tolerance, using ongoing testing to monitor your progress.

And since more than 99.9% of our patients have more than one allergy, we treat all of your unique allergies at once. By mixing allergens with a preservative (glycerin), we are able to treat those specific allergies that show positive in your testing at the same time without the allergens degrading or interacting with one another as they can with multi-allergen shot therapy.
