Maple Pecan Granola

Yields 18 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup flaxseed, ground
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon, ground
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. maple flavoring
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F. Set aside a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the oats, pecans, walnuts, flaxseed, and cinnamon.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the canola oil, maple syrup, maple flavoring, and salt together. Pour the oil mixture into the oat mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the mixture on the baking sheet and bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit until cool, then break into chunks. Store in an airtight container.
